Hi,

My Questions more in relation to receiving, emails from the EE community threads!

I like receiving email's but i'm getting "duplicates" all the time! Is this normal practice? Or should I be concerned? 😟

I suppose it could be a "system glitch" but not sure though!?

Regards:

Re: Community notifications

@Profile closed: You may be getting the duplicates from when users edit their original post in threads you are subscribed to. Can you check from the duplicate notification email whether the post referenced has been edited? Is there a pattern?

You may chose which notification emails you get under My settings / Subscriptions & Notifications / Notifications Settings.

Did you get 2 from this when I edited it?

Re: Community notifications

Hi, @XRaySpeX,

I didn't notice any unusual pattern, but you point about ( from when users edit their post ), made me realise that, that's the reason for the "duplicates"

lol πŸ˜† I feel such a fooll for not realising this!!

Thank you @XRaySpeX, you always rescue me in time of difficulty πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Kind regards:

Re: Community notifications

Hi, @XRaySpeX,

No! I didn't get another "duplicate" this time, but you resolved my original post by reminding me about "users editing their post" , which I've done myself sometimes.

Re: Community notifications

Thanks! You're welcome :)! Glad I could be of assistance & it is now sorted.

Don't worry, we all get a bit confused from time to time by the complexity of this site :smileywink:.
