Just realised that no apple connected devices to the fibre broadband can send an image/photo through imessage.
Turning the wifi off on iphones and the image/photo is instantley sent!
This is on the ee mobile network and vodafone so it must be the ee broadband that is causing the issue.
Tried turning imessage on/off on all devices no difference
Tried restoring the modem to factry settings no difference
Has anybody else had this issue & manage to get a fix?

Hi and welcome to the Community @Bigdoctorfox
This does sound very strange, I wonder if @Jmithcell or @Chris_B can offer any advice, personally i'm an Android guy.
Many thanks,

@Bigdoctorfox I've just been testing this can i ask are you sending the imessage to a email address or a phone number ?

Does it matter?, i've just typed the partial name or the parttial number and the message offers me the contact name I can select.
I know ive use both during my trials and both had the same outcome

Wi-Fi calling, facetime & normal messages work fine but any image/photo gets about 9/10ths through the completion bar and just hangs.
If you wait long enough it tells you the delivery has failed however if you turn the wi-fi off the last bit completes & the photo is sent to the recipient.

Hi,
Definitely sounds like it could be an Apple issue. I've checked the System Status and nothing is showing on there.
@Bigdoctorfox were you able to try the text @Chris_B advised?

Has anyone else had the problem of not being able to send photos by imessage when logged on to their EE home fibre broadband? This problem started a few days ago and is the same on 6 different ipads and iphones.
When photos are sent to our ipads, they come through as squares which say, tap to download. But when tapped, nothing is downloaded.
Emailing photos causes no problems.
When using a neighbours broadband plus net, the photos are sent and received properly so unlikely to be 6 different devices going wrong on same day.
We have rebooted router twice with no difference. We have also spent hours on the phone to EE who have not helped.
We have spoken in length to Apple who believe the internet connection is the problem.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Otherwise we will have to change internet provider.

Hi Karen, We are having same problem. Tried everything same as you so must be EE broadband fault. This happens on 6 different devices-3 ipads and 3 Iphones so unlikely to be Apples devices at fault.
Photos can be sent and received using neighbours plusnet broadband.
Spoken to EE who have been unhelpful.

@junecats1 : It probably makes no difference but are the PN & BT BB you are testing over also Fibre BB?

Hi @junecats1
One of out stars @Chris_B has been experiencing the issue also and he's not an EE Broadband customer.
Is it only when the picture is sent via email? If sent via the mobile number over WiFi does it go through?
Are you both with EE for your Broadband?
Thanks. ![]()

Hi Karen. The issue is the same whether you send an imessage with photo to an iphone via their number or to an email address. Using email a photo sends fine. I have tried a different EE router at a friends, altho that wasnt fibre broadband, and the photo still didnt get thro.
