wifi bandwidth

I currently have the bright box 2 wireless router which works on 5Ghz bandwidth and is fine for all my needs.  I have recently purchased a smart light switch which only works on 2.4Ghz. Can the box I have put out both bandwidth and if so how do i do it.

Re: wifi bandwidth

Hello and welcome to the community.

The Brightbox 2 is simultaneously 2.4GHz and 5GHz. 2.4GHz devices should see it fine.

Thanks. Peter

Re: wifi bandwidth

@alan3770 : You should be seeing both bands. The 5GHz SSID (network name) begins with "5GHz-" & the 2.4GHz SSID doesn't.

You sure you don't have the Smart Hub router? It's they which smart light switches have trouble finding the right band.
