Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

There is no point in turning it off every day. Updates will come anyway; they come once in a blue moon anyway.

Do not restart your router to do this test:

Post your full router stats.

For a BrightBox: login and go to Advanced Settings/ System/ DSL Status. Also post 'System Uptime' from top of System Log page.

For a SmartHub: login and go to Advanced Settings/ Technical Log/ Information.

Full router stats are key to any speed & connection issues.

@mike220963   I only turn mine off once a month if that.  You don’t get updates every day.   Turn it off/unplug it for 5 minutes then switch it back on then see what happens.
