I want to connect all my 5 devices at home, including my Android TV to a vpn but there's a limit of three devices if connected individually. The workaround to this would be to just connect the router to the vpn since all the devices are connected to it over the wifi. Is it possible to do so and how? I've contacted my vpn provider about this and this is what they've said:
"Almost any router with VPN capability could work with our service. However, we only offer ready VPN setup guides for routers using specific router firmware. Here is a list of routers compatible with each of the currently supported firmware types:
In all likelihood, you will need to install ("flash") such custom router firmware onto your router. Please note that router flashing falls outside our support scope, and doing so would be at your own discretion and liability."
Re: how do I connect my bright box 2 router to a vpn?
@Yellowmatic If you can install customer firmware on the router you will probably be voiding any warranty on the router. Also the router is a device that's on loan to you and it's not actually yours to keep. Also any updates that EE push out to the router could possibly fail or cause the router to fail completely.
