Why have ee taken a final broadband payment when it is paid at start of month

I have recently cancelled my EE broadband,  I assumed that having let them know that i wouldnt be charged as it's taken at the start if the month which then covers you for that month so why have they taken a final payment upon me terminating my broadband

Did you complete your min. term?

 

When did you cancel your BB? When did the final bill charge you up to?

Min term was met

I cancelled my bb ar the start of the month just after I paid my billso should have covered me for that month

Yes, your final bill should have been a refund. You only need 14-days notice for BB when you had already paid nearly 30 days in advance.
