Why have I been charged again when I have already paid instantly online

I was charged a payment via direct debit and u had already paid an instant payment because I thought I was late paying it. Therefore should I get a refund.

Re: Why have I been charged again when I have already paid instantly online

Once your bill has been posted the DD will have already been put in hand. So any other direct payment will not cancel the actioned DD. However it will be credited to your a/c to be used as credit against your next bill.

If you already had a DD set up, why did you think you were late & needed to make an extra payment?
