Re: Upgrading in my area

@Mike250786 : What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.

Re: Upgrading in my area

You can get FTTC/VDSL there up to about 55 Meg. You could upgrade to EE Fibre Plus.

To see if it's worthwhile post your full router stats:

  • For a BrightBox: login and go to Advanced Settings/ System/ DSL Status. Also post 'System Uptime' from top of System Log page.
  • For a SmartHub: login and go to Advanced Settings/ Technical Log/ Information. Obscure your names & numbers in the BB Username & also the SSIDs.

Re: Upgrading in my area

Given the current observed speeds, if you are not already on Fibre plus, you won't see much improvement.

Re: Upgrading in my area

@Mustrum : I'm reckoning that the OP is seeing 36 Meg speedtests from the 40 Meg capped sync speed of EE standard Fibre, but we'll know when we see the router stats.

Re: Upgrading in my area

Yes, you are on standard Fibre & could upgrade to Fibre Plus to get about 50 Meg.
