Unidentified Network, No internet

Okay. So I recently got a fibre internet connection with brightbox 2, and since then ethernet hasn't worked. I have tried wifi and it works on all devices. But specifically on my PC the ethernet won't work but previously did with my old ethernet. On my smart TV the ethernet works fine.

When diagnosing the connection it says that it doesn't have a valid IP adress. Tutorials on the internet aren't helping me at all.

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

Try plugging PC into a diff LAN port of router.

What does it say in the Currently Connected Devices section on the initial Status page of the BrightBox after you log in?

Re: Unidentified Network, No internet

Well that fixed it actually. My friend had decided to switch the ports for absolutely no reason.

Re: Unidentified Network, No internet

Means router is faulty with at least 1 unserviceable Ethernet port.

Re: Unidentified Network, No internet

Was it plugged into a WAN port by mistake?

Re: Unidentified Network, No internet

@leenowell: The WAN port is just 1 of the LAN ports.

Re: Unidentified Network, No internet

Sorry, @leenowell & @SKOOT4life, I was forgetting. The red port is WAN & it's not LAN.
