Anyone know of any reason why it is randomly jumping up to 100+ms?

Re: Sudden jump in ping every so often

The site you are pinging is too busy to respond to your ping at the time. Servers have better things to do than respond to pings, like providing the service they are there for. As long as it is consistent most of the time, that's all you can expect, if at all. Pings are low priority.

Re: Sudden jump in ping every so often

Hi @NIall010,

Welcome to the EE Community.

It could be caused by a number of factors.

Are you connected via WiFi or a cabled connection?

Thanks

James
