I've just gotten the new Smart Hub router from EE.
Since doing so, HD Streaming via my xBox is hideous. Picture breaks up or stutters all the time.
I've tried setting the Port Forwarding and also adding the xBox to the DMZ, but it hasn't improved the WiFi speed at all - showing as 2MBs on the xBox network settings. I'm not in a position to put a cable from the xBox to the router.
Worked fine on the old router.
Any ideas? I've scoured the internet etc.
Thanks in advance,

P.S. Network speeds are fine (upload and download), and I was able to stream HD via a NowTV box without problems. Just via the xBox it's an issue. Thanks again.

Seem to have decent speeds now since switching the router to Mode 2 and removing all the port forwarding. However, playback is still very jerky - especially in fast scenes.
Trying Mode 3 and switching DMZ off.

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.
You don't need port forwarding for just streaming. Nor should you be using DMZ.
How do you set the router to Type 2 or 3? There is no setting for that, is there? It's only in the mind of the XBox.
If you would like help with your BB speed or connection issues, please would you carry out the following steps for starters, which will enable us to diagnose the problem and advise you further. Do not restart your router to do these tests:
1. Post your full router stats.
For a BrightBox: login and go to Advanced Settings/ System/ DSL Status. Also post 'System Uptime' from top of System Log page.
For a SmartHub: login and go to Advanced Settings/ Technical Log/ Information.
Full router stats are key to any speed & connection issues.
2. Try both a wired & WiFi speedtest here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.
3. What exchange are you connected to? If you don't know use: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search and post the URL of your exchange page.

Under Wireless in Advance Settings on the Smart Hub, there's an option called "Wireless mode".
By changing to Mode 2 or Mode 3, I was able to increase the WiFi speed, download and upload speeds of the xBox. However, when streaming through the iPlayer app on the xBox, in HD, it stutters still, especially in fast action scenes.
Other devices stream fine. I'm going to test with some other streaming apps on the xBox, to see how they behave.
I'm getting good speeds - 60=70 download, 16 upload, so the connection isn't the issue. It's the way the xBox interacts with the router that's the issue. I've had this before on previous routers with EE and had to set NATS etc. to allow smooth gaming. Hence my going through the process of port forwarding and DMZ of the device.

Ah, OK! Sorry, I thought you were referring to XBox's NAT Types. Now I see you are not.
