I have had the same problem since April 2017 and I and EE have never been able to resolve the problem Line 100%. Validated by multiple engineer, broadband specialist visits.

I initially ran the modem on a UPS then on diet power so if there was a power outage the modem would be forced to power up and reset.

Problem still goes on. Each time modem shows all green light but will not reconnect with internal systems without another manual power reset. However even that is not working now. 

EE could not solve the problem when I chased this up in January 2018.

It is a real PIA. I intend to cancel contract and move to new supplier in April.

It must be a software protocol issue with the Brightbox 2 router. EE have already tried replacing router.

Any help/thoughts much appreciated.

@Squatec: Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

What does it say in the Internet section on the initial Status page of the BrightBox after you log in? Obscure your names in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the IP addy. This will tell us at which stage EE have got to.

Does the phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?
