Netflix says I am using a proxy but I’m not

They’re now telling me to contact EE which of course I can’t do!

Are you using EE 4/5G network or fixed line broadband? 

 

Where does it say you are with this IP search tool? (In the UK - yes or no?)

 

Did you subscribe to Netflix via the UKhotdeals subscribe via another country hack?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

Using broadband, it’s saying I’m in the uk and I’ve subscribed for ages directly through Netflix.  It’s just happened tonight

Are you using Netflix on your TV? 

 

Try disconnecting your TV from the power socket for 20 seconds, then trying again. This wipes your TV cache. 

 

Make sure your app is up-to-date.

Reboot the router to try to get a diff IP.

 

Why can't you contact EE? Call them from your landline.

Much to my enormous surprise (!) EE say it isn’t their fault and Netflix says it isn’t theirs and neither of them can speak to each other about it so I’ve wasted 2 hours of my life this morning stuck in the middle with no resolution.  If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears but I’m frankly just tempted to cancel the whole lot!

I have tried all the advice provided on the community, chat and telephone from EE and Netflix to no avail - EE and Netflix are both saying it isn't their fault and blaming each other and I have wasted 2 hours again this morning explaining the problem to both of them again.  Forgive me if I sound frustrated - I sound a lot less frustrated than I actually feel!
