My EE router won’t connect to my sky box.

My EE router seems to have connected to everything else and is working fine but I can’t connect my sky+ box.

 

Any suggestions

You could try giving your new router the same name as your old one and if you use the same password as your old router you won’t have to go into every device and change your WiFi setting.

If everything else is connecting to your router then it’s not really a WiFi problem.

You could try.

1 connecting direct from your router to your sky box.

2 get a pair lan over power sockets and connect one to your router and one to your skybox.

It’s not a new router, it was connected to my sky box but lost connection somehow and now it won’t reconnect

Sorry to quote the IT crowd (awesome show) have you tried turning it on and off again 🙂.

 

Have you tried new cables from router to sky box 

you could alway try resetting your sky box (I think you hold the power button down for ten seconds)

is anything else connected directly to the router that is actually working ?

Does the Sky TV box show up in the router's currently connected devices? I presume it is connected by WiFi.

Yes that’s the first thing I tried turning it off and on again.

I’m going to reset my sky box to see if that does anything as everything else that is connected to the router is working...fingers crossed!

No resetting my sky+ box didn’t work.

 

My EE router is a Bright Box 2 Wireless Router

How do I check what devices are currently connected to the router???
