Bright Box 2 WiFi issues

My internet connection on my BrightBox 2 is running perfectly, my problem is I cannot access the WiFi from the router on my Sony tablet. This has connected to the WiFi with no problems until now.

Message I receive when I connect to WiFi

Wireless Network name followed by "Connected, no internet.

Hope someone can help

Re: Bright Box 2 WiFi issues

Mine is not working either for the past hour now, driving me crazy.

Their servers are down nationwide.

I hope it's sorted soon

Re: Bright Box 2 WiFi issues

you can set your dns server in your network connection to 8.8.8.8 (googles dns) as a workaround until EE fix things

Re: Bright Box 2 WiFi issues

I've got mine working using googles DNS until EE is fixed.

Broadband connected but doesn't seem to be sending data

My broadband is connected to all my devices but I am not receiving data on then i.e. my Xbox is saying DNS server can't be sent to the names and my phone is treating chrome as it's offline (using mobile data to send this) I have tried unplugging the router and plugging it back in but other than that I'm stumped. There doesn't seem to be any problems in my local area (checked ee and bt)

For everyone having problems with broadband (plaster fix)

I saw a post that kinda helped with a short-term solution until ee manage to fix the DNS problems there end. If you go into your router (it's in your keep me card type in the 192.168.1.1 and login) go to advanced and then set the DNS to manual and put in 8.8.8.8 in both primary and secondary (I saw this is Google's DNS) and it works I now have a happy child watching peppa pig

I figured that lots of people were having the same problem and this is how I got it fixed so figured I'd share the fix so more people didn't just post that their broadband wasn't working lol

Hello there @Blacknight66

We're aware of an issue affecting broadband services this morning - we're working to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Can you try turning the power off and on and seeing if this resolves this for you?

Thanks, Leanne.

Re: It says on my laptop that the dns server could not be found

@Blacknight66, @hojomo, @Mrshaggy256, @Raingun, @Owlpal, @MissTori:

There seems to be a problem with EE's DNS at the mo'.

You could try & get round this issue by switching the DNS in the router to Manual with 1 of these public DNS:

Open DNS :	208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220
Google DNS:	8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
Norton DNS:	198.153.192.40 & 198.153.194.40
