Installed bt mesh discs and my g fast home hub lost Ethernet connection?

I have g fast internet in my large house. The Wi-Fi drops off when you leave the vicinity of the EE router. I went out and bought a 3 disc bt whole home disc system and installed it as per instructions. The Wi-Fi was all through the house but the Ethernet was showing connected but no data coming through?

@paulebb : Are you on the EE Max BB product using a BT Smart Hub combined G.Fast modem/router?

Hi,

yeah, the BT wholehome app. It set up and the Wi-fi was good, but no Ethernet?

And yes again, using the EE hub with a bt (huwai) white router?

Re: I Installed bt mesh discs and my g fast home hub lost Ethernet connection?

I have ended up switching off the bt discs and resetting my EE hub to get the Ethernet working, until I can find a solution.

Re: I Installed bt mesh discs and my g fast home hub lost Ethernet connection?

I was wondering if I could connect the discs to the EE hub using the WSP button and it might keep the EE network but with the Wi-Fi range?

Ah, I thought you were using BT kit on an EE Max connection as you said "G.Fast Home Hub" as the Subject.

Re: I Installed bt mesh discs and my g fast home hub lost Ethernet connection?

What does it say after you log into the router:

  • on the Advanced Settings / Broadband / Internet page?
  • on the Advanced Settings / My Network page?

Obscure your names & numbers in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the IP addy.

It takes time for images to be inspected by the Mods & approved or not.

Please post the other image as well & we will see them eventually.
