If I have fibre broadband from EE do I still need a phone line

Welcome to the community,
Yes you will still need a phone line, fibre broadband does not change anything, it uses the same socket, the same as with ADSL. You do not have to have a phone plugged in, but is useful to have one at hand in case there is a problem and you need to check the line.
You still pay for the phone line, but fibre broadband will be much faster than ADSL.

This answer is slightly misleading as VDSL on a FTTC service is incorrectly called Fibre - more correctly it is Fibre to the cabinet and copper to the home (80meg max) - that is why you need to retain your phone line. True fibre is FTTH or FTTP (EE don't provide that service although other ISPs do) and that is fibre all the way to the home and does not use any copper (330meg max)- in that case you could dispense with the phone line... although it probably won't change the monthly cost.
