I use a mifi with 4g as part of my home network, need to see what used the data

My mifi used 6gb in one day i wasnt in and no neighbours nearby, i am trying to find out where it went and is it possible it could be a fault? Is there anything i can download to check as the only tool is seeing what you have now not where it has gone.
