How come I can only get Standard broadband and Fiber Max 1/2?

54F29F6C-7B42-4A9A-A951-5B0105465330.png

Hey!

I live in Liverpool city centre and I can only get Standard, Fibre Max 1/2.  I understand that my local exchange is over subscribed hence, I cannot get regular broadband.  How come I can get the Max 1/2 options? Is there some separate allotment for these?

Thanks,

Good! That's where EE actually gets its info from & shows:

  • VDSL: That's EE Fibre/Fibre+. As you can see it's on a waiting list. This is due to lack of capacity at the cab, Even if EE took your order, which I don't think they would even tho' CS said they can, they would put you on a waiting list for an indeterminable period until OR say there are enough slots to start fulfilling the waiters. That's why EE are not offering this to you online.
  • G.Fast. That's EE Fibre Max. The "Amber" status simply means that OR are recommending that the G.Fast install is done by an engineer rather than the self install option that is being trialled by them at the moment, it won't prevent you from ordering and doesn't indicate any issues with the line or capacity. This is why EE are offering you this online.
  • ADSL 2+: That's EE Standard BB. It's available & you'll probably get about 19 Meg sync speed. I can't see why are not offering this to you online.

What do you mean? It's offering you all of EE's BB packages, incl Fibre && Fibre+.

What does BT Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.

Re: How come I can only get Standard broadband and Fiber Max 1/2?

Hello,

Thats just from their site but when I pretend to order I get the following options.

I am confused because I’d expect not to be able to get either of the Fibre Max products because of the message stating capacity for fibre.  Is Fibre Max served differently?

I should be able to tell you when I see your BT Broadband Availability Checker table for your phone no.

Re: How come I can only get Standard broadband and Fiber Max 1/2?

It says there’s no data for my landline.

I have rang EE and the salesperson comfirmed it’s available but they don’t know why it is.

Then please use the Address Checker at the foot of the page, Do not use Postcode Checker.
