How can I get IPv6 address.

How can I get IPv6 address. I've read it is enabled by BT and the BrightBox 2 supports it but the IPv6 address is empty. Do I have to request it is enabled first?

thanks,

Re: How can I get IPv6 address.

Hi,

What I've found seems contradictory/odd.

EE has IPv6 on Wifi - see From "29-01-2016 06:55 PM

EE (mobile) are actually already using IPv6 as that's what WiFi calling runs on, as I suspect VoLTE will run on as well once that launches."
and
https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2016/11/ee-makes-progress-ipv6-upgrade-uk-mobile-network.html

I read this "EE's Brightboxes already have IPv6 connectivity" last night. Does this mean that EE do this:

IPv6
Phones Yes
Routers Yes (capable)
Broadband No

So, why has EE not flipped the switch on broadband to give IPv6 when they have already done it for mobiles?

Re: How can I get IPv6 address.

Yes, EE do have IPv6 on their mobile network but not on the fixed BB network.

Many routers have IPv6 capability but unless the ISP implements it it is unused.
