Re: Connecting my CCTV to My router

What exactly is the problem? Is it that you can't view it from time to time? Where are you trying to view it from?

You shouldn't ever need to factory reset the router except in extremis.

Re: Connecting my CCTV to My router

Yes, but disconnecting it from where? Where are you viewing it from?

Re: Connecting my CCTV to My router

The Brightbox's Currently Connected Devices isn't always accurate, so you can't go definitively by that.

Where are you when you try to view it on your mobile? In other words, are you away from home?

Re: Connecting my CCTV to My router

At home, when you are using your mobile to view, is the mobile connected to the mobile network or to WiFi on your LAN?

How/where are you seeing that the CCTV is offline?

Re: Connecting my CCTV to My router

I still don't understand what is showing that error. Is it:

  1. A CCTV app on your mobile saying it can't see the CCTV?
  2. Or the CCTV itself thro' its management console?

If the former, it doesn't prove the the CCTV has discon'ed from the router as you keep saying but just that the mobile can't connect to it.

Please explain in more detail just what you are doing & and what is happening when you do so.
