Can an additional account be added to a landline? Previous tenant absconded

Can an additional account be added to an existing landline? Previous tenant at my property has absconded leaving his EE account still active. I have no contact for him to request he close this account. New tenants will most likely require landline/broadband.

Re: Can an additional account be added to a landline? Previous tenant absconded

New tenants should apply for BB from any ISP on existing landline. EE should write to old tenants telling someone else wants to take over their landline & giving them 2 weeks to object. Old tenants won't reply. EE will cease BB & landline & bill old tenants. That'll be EE's problem. New tenants will get their BB eventually.

@Hopf   If the account was in there name when new tenants want broadband/phone line the closure of the old account will be billed to the old tenant.

Was the account in their name ?
