Can I use my own router?

Hi,

I have just signed up to EE Broadband, after having a dreadful experience with another provider, Origin. (Cheap but truly awful service and even worse customer service.)

I have a dual band Belkin router I use at the moment. Does EE allow the use of own routers? Sky and the new BT hubs have the DSL username and passwords hidden, so you cannot copy the details into another router, nor use that router with another provider. (A dreadful waste of resourses in my opinion.) Is this the same with EE?

What's the quality of the EE router like?

Cheers!

Re: Can I use my own router?

Hello @Ivor_r the EE BB router is usually fine to use. Yes you can use your own router. Here are the EE BB settings you will need:

Re: Can I use my own router?

@Ivor_r, I use my own router and have no problems, but keep the EE router for testing when there might be a problem. I prefer to use my own, which is Netgear.
