Bright Box 2 - Wireless Access Point

So, I`ve hit on the bright idea of using the BB2 as a wireless access point in conjunction with my TP-Link router. I`ve read a couple of the posts on here about using the BB2 but the instructions aren`t overly clear.

If anyone has the definitive guide for setting up and using the BB2 as a wireless access point, I`d be most grateful.

Re: Bright Box 2 - Wireless Access Point

That instruction appears to missing a step, namely, if you switch it over to Ethernet, are you then selecting, Bridging, Routing or what?

See To make the BrightBox 1 a WAP on your LAN, reading:

  • Its BB2 as your TP-Link
  • Its BB1 as your BB2

Re: Bright Box 2 - Wireless Access Point

Thanks for the tips - it actually seems to be happiest in Bridging mode, rather than Routing - which I found out based a different post from your good self.

Now using the TP as a modem/switch with all wireless traffic going through the BB2.
