I called EE today and they agreed to switching the tariff back to fibre 500 which is what I originally ordered but then upgraded to fibre 700 but wouldn’t honour the £5 discount. I was still within the 14 day cooling off period seems a bit mean but point blank refusal said no offers available but that’s a load of bull as offers are available basically had to sign up again so contract starts again from today at the full price

Good morning @Abcatal!
Whilst our offers are subject to change, I can totally appreciate your disappointment with this one.
Whilst I can't guarantee it'll be possible to honour the discount, should you want to escalate you're absolutely welcome to do so.
I would recommend raising this as a complaint with our complaints team directly. They'll be able to review the details of your experience here, and make sure we've offered every option we can.

@Abcatal What did you do, ordered package then upped it then back down again to the starting package, was there a specific reason for doing all that?

Hi @JimM11 exactly that. As for why, stupid I know now but I wanted to see if it be if any benefit, it wasn’t as all my devices apart from a Hive and Hue Bridge box are connected via WiFi
I should have left it as it was but I wasn’t to know that and I tend to rush into things
Glad EE changed it back to Fibre 500 but the discount was lost. I did explain on the call that I wasn’t happy and the Agent refused to escalate reiterated there were no current offers and it was basically take it or leave it
Cheers

@Abcatal It's kind off the way, 500Mb/s is pretty fast and does cover most homes bandwidth wise, at least you managed to get them to kick you back a package just the pity they played hardball with the discount!
