"SIM network unlock request unsuccessful"

Moved abroad for a while, need to use local SIM. requested unlock code, took a few days and got a 5 digit code. Inserted the new SIM and entered the code, every time it says "network unlock request unsuccessful".


No live chat, no area to ask for help on the site. Can't call customer service as it's about £2.50 per min here, so could be like £75 for one call. 


Had to lodge a complain just to ask for help, but that takes at least 3 days. Tweeted them, asked on facebook, still waiting to hear back.


Anyone else had this issue? Think they've sent the wrong code...
