Will my EE number expire if I do not top up pay as you go sim card?

Hi There!

I'm using EE number from abroad and I will need it just from time to time. I topped up my pay as you go sim card last month and I'm not sure what will happen if it stays like that for two or three months without me topping the account on the monthly basis. I don't want this number to deactivate cause I will probably want to top it up again in two months and will use it again for a bit. Will people still be able to call me during that time when I don't top up (the credit is currently £5)?

What are the rules? I tried to find them here but I cannot find a clear explanation.

@ClickT  Just make a chargeable call/text once a month and you’ll be ok.
