Why have I lost 6gb left of my add on after my 1gb of data renewed? I need this data!

The 10GB data add-on lasts until your data runs out or your next billing date, whichever comes first.
This is explained under 'the important stuff' when purchasing the add-on.

What is your monthly data allowance? Is it 10GB or 1GB?
You can see the history of your add-ons and why they expired on out add-on status page.

My monthly allowance is 1gb. But i needed extra data whilst on holiday. I paid for thiry days at 10gb but seems i only got 14 days as the remaining 6gb has been cancelled due to the renewal of my 1gb. Surely there is a moral responsibility to credit the customer until the add on expores? Or can I get a rebate for the difference due to early expiration?
