Depends on your handset manufacturer releasing the EE version.
EE don't give release schedules for their firmware updates.

Pretty sure the final build hasn' even been released yet to Google devices.
They have announced it yes but doesn' mean it' out.
What device do you have? If it' Samsung don't expect it til probably December Janruary time.

Via EE, a lot later than you think it will.
It's only in beta on pixel's, so will be some time yet.

Google has released Oreo for general consumption so for those of us on Moto G5's - when are ee going to send out the OTA update for this version?

Welcome to the EE Community.
You'll receive a notification on your handset as soon as the manufacturer makes the update available for your phone.

Yes - thanks I know that!
Manufacturer's release to carrier's such as ee and then it can take some time for the Telco to deploy - I want to know ETA for the Oreo update on ee connected compatible Moto handsets.
If it's longer than a couple of months and I suspect carrier will move at a glacial pace then I will just download aosp Oreo and side load on my device manually.

I don't think there was an EE version of that particular handset.
Where did you purchase it from?

Correct James, am on a Sim only contract.
Had assumed that Motorola / Lenovo would release OTA for Oreo then ee schedules roll out - is that not the case?
Android major revisions would not have previously been an issue as had always had Google Nexus devices but given well documented faults with Pixel series - and my 5x dieing - bought a Moto G5's instead as a stop gap as they run a virtually stock android - had thought Oreo update would have installed around now

No, EE wouldn't be involved in the roll out.
If you contact Motorola they may be able to help.
