I believe that EE won the emergency services contract in my area a year or two ago and that required ubiquitous 4G coverage irrespective of population density (which is very low here, in rural north Suffolk). We now have extremely patchy 4G with download speeds of around 3Mb/sec when you can get a connection. Vodafone has just installed 4G on our local water tower and this is giving 23Mb/sec download speeds. I like the EE network, but it's so poor where we live that I will switch unless there are existing plans to also install an EE mast on the same water tower in the next few months. How can I find out?

Can you not use EE VOWFI service? You are lucky to receive 3mb per second, I'm 10 mins from Leeds city centre and receive no signal.
As for establishing EE mast plans, then you are best off checking your local planning office online as any mast installation plans will be available to view and subject to local authority approval. EE won't say, and cannot say until planning is approved.
