Unable to connect to Wifi in the Underground

I just moved to the UK with my iPhone SE and am on a PAYG with EE.

I've been trying to connect to the WiFi in the Underground but to no avail; it definitely does not connect automatically.

I've also texted the 9527 which gives me a Username and P/W for the Virgin Media WiFi, but when I try to log in it says to contact EE.

I've visited a shop but they couldn't help me either; they told me to just stand at the ticket hall when there's still a signal to see if it would work (but it hasn't!)

 

Can anybody help?

How long ago did you last top up your account?

 

How much was the top up for?

 

Your account would need to be have been topped up with a minimum of £5 within the last 30 days.

 

If your last top up took place more than 30 days ago, it can take up to two days from the date of your latest top up to update your account and provide you with access to the services.

I last topped up my account about 19 days (<3 weeks) ago, for GBP14.

I kinda don't feel like paying 25p to help you solve a problem that's caused by EE.

I see that other people have a link to a Live Chat? Can I have that option instead?
