My phone is still not unlocked after making the request online and receiving the email saying it would take 10 days. However I also cannot call customer services atm because the microphone in the phone is not working so I cannot currently make or receive calls! Hoping I can get this resolved using the chat forum, which I'm trying for the first time?

If your phone is broke why do want it unlocked.
There is no specific account access on these forums so you will need to call EE unlocking team about your request.

Thanks - I need it for whatsapp and messaging but am currently working abroad so I can't just send it off to be fixed very easily.
It seemed as though some of the posts had been replied to by members of the customer service team e.g. Asking for account no via private messages, is that not the case?

Is this a new pay monthly contract with us?
To unlock a pay monthly device you must have had the device on your contract for a minimum of 6 months.
