Number not recognised

My mothers partner is currently using my old iPhone 4 on a pay as you go sim. The phone has plenty of credit and has been used for a couple of years now without any problems. All of a sudden they can't get a signal and when they tried to contact EE by phone the automated system is saying that the number isn't recognised. They've tried all the usual options, turning phone on and off etc. etc. but no joy. Any suggestions?

This does indeed sound very strange.


This would have to be looked into by customer services to investigate further.


If you do enter an incorrect number into the IVR it should direct you to an operator.
