I have just arrived in Lanzarote and I cannot log on to a network on my IPhone or iPad. My wife who is with EE doesn’t have a problem. Please help

Did you get a chance to try the steps on the pages that @tm90 referred to?
Please try a manual network search and try a different available Spanish network:
Tap settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
