New phone saying 'sim not provisioned'

Lost my phone but realised I was due an upgrade. Got new phone, explained needed new sim card and that i needed the old one blocking.

Was told that new sim would be activated within 24 hours and old one blocked. Also told that usually happens very quickly. Bit worried now as now several hours (but within 24 hours) after me getting the new phone, sim hasn't activated yet and phone's displaying a message saying 'sim not provisioned'.

Is my old sim not blocked then? Is there anything else I need to do to get the sim in my new phone working?

It can take up to 24 hours like you know. If you want it done immediately go into an EE store and they will provide you with a new SIM immediately.

I would also add this activation may not start until Monday.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

Hi @Alex_P2

Thanks for coming to see us in community 🙂

@Northerner is right and please allow for the 24 hour time frame.

Hopefully by now it may be up and running.

If it isn't, then please let us know after the recommended time-frame has passed.
