Netflix picture quality poor

Hi

Been using Netflix for a couple of months now with no issues until last night when the picture quality dropped considerably.

I watch via PS3 which is connected to my router by cable.

Checked this morning and it seems ok,but I wondered is there anything I could do if it happens again?

(Binge watching Breaking Bad. Don't want a Bad, breaking up picture...:-) )

Thanks

Re: Netflix picture quality poor

Hi @Gothamite

I've found this help page on the Netflix support site.

Please try a few of the steps on there if it happens again and get back to us with the internet speeds at the time etc.

I'm still yet to finish Breaking Bad. I think I got to series 3 and inexplicably stopped watching. I am definitely going to re-visit it though. I need to find out what happens. 🙂

Chris

Re: Netflix picture quality poor

You could try enabling QOS (Quality of service) on your router and putting video to 'high'. That way if another device on your network is say doing a software update, the video stream gets priority.

Ok, forgive my ignorance how do I access the settings in my router? Never done it before...
