Engineer Came fix the break in the line then EE rang this morning I said i did't have any problems which is true but it now 20.30 and had 12 disconnect in last 2 hours so problem still not slove but was told by engineer if there any more problem it nothing to do with my line.
so only thing left is the router.
if I wanted to replace this with a better router until ee catch up on router generations what router would be best in terms of gamers and streaming and not over heating like the bright box 2 does?

ok I think skynet taken over the router there was 13 loss of signal since my last post then at 15:13 the router reboot by it self which it has not done in the pass.
any recommendation on fighting skynet before it take over the world?

I did this be the 6th engineer coming out and today my xbox said the following:
Cannot connect to DHCP server
but my pc is connected fine

no they come tomorrow between 8am and 1pm usely about 9.30am they come
it not the equipment as the guy i spoke to did a test without the anything connected and same fault came back
will just have to wait on engineer and hope it fix this time

so Engineer never came because the person didt order the engineer only put it in my notes was up all day for this free my whole day for this if this was anyone else they be long gone by now we see if they turn up tomorrow but not giving my hopes and tomorrow will be last time any problems after tomorrow I look else where.

he just been no fault find he said even test equipment no fault on cables said only thing is next time it happen report it and ask for a boardband engineer because he can't find nothing

I dont think it been resolve because he find nothing to fix and it already disconnected since he been i give it a day or two

How many devices are connecting to your Brightbox?
Suggest you run your LAN with router connected to test socket & only one wired PC, all other devices off, for a day or so & see if it still keeps discon'ing.
