Hi, I have been using my phone in central America and it worked well. I have now been in Colombia for 3 days and it won't pick up a signal. I got the welcome email from ee but nothing else. I am on a contract and have a Samsung A3. I read a previous forum where it said to change Network mode to 2G and 3G only (not 4G) . I tried but it didn't work?

Hi Richard Thank you for replying. I only received the one text from ee to say welcome to Colombia. Since then I tried to call out, but it says not registered on network. I went to networks and searched manually for networks, it came up with 3 different ones I tried each one separately and it took a few minutes whilst saying registering on network. I then tried to call out again and it says not registered on network? Looking forward to your reply Kate

I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with service in Columbia.
Apart from the phone problems, what's Columbia like?
Have you tried a manual network selection on the phone?
Are you able to receive calls and texts?

I understand your frustration with this issue.
Where abouts in Columbia are you currently?
As you have used your phone in various locations, there could be an issue currently with the local provider that provides our partner signal.

Still no signal this morning. But weirdly last night as soon as I turned my phone on I got a text msg from a friend and thought issue was resolved. I looked 2 minutes later and no signal again?

I was here in Colombia August 16 for 3 weeks and had no signal, had to buy a local sim, arrived back here last week and the same thing, EE are useless, colleagues have vodaphone and have no such problem

i am in Colombia and have been for the last 8 days, and I am having the same
issue. I have manually selected the network but this does not seem to help. I cannot make or receive calls. Strangely it worked for a few hours when I first arrived and allowed me to buy a data package. The data still seems to work but it shows that I have no signal. I am using an iPhone 7. Can you help?

Having the same problem in Medellin now too, any update on this? Shocking service from EE, looks as though this has been a problem for a while
