Hello @Hunofbun,
Welcome to the community,
You can download an app to do a Speedtest, such as Speedtest by Okla. If you do a search in your App Store, you will find it and then run the Speedtest. If you want to check the speed of cellular then make sure you are not connected to wifi, you can also check your wifi speed with the app if you so wish.

Hi @Hunofbun
Welcome to the community. 🙂
Is this in relation to a mobile data contract or broadband?
We'll do our best to help.

Thanks! I know that some EE contracts have the faster speed data (generally the more expensive ones!) I was hoping to find out what it is on my contract. Every time I try ringing I'm in a queue for days!!

@Hunofbun, EE have had a problem, Sunday, so that no one could contact them, but it should be ok now, although due to a backlog, maybe wait a bit and see if you can get through. I have not usually found I have to wait too long when ringing EE, except when it is a busy time.
What did you sign up for, contract wise? All new contracts with the newer phones are now 4G, 4G EE Max Plans are the fastest, but then that depends where you are.

Thanks @Hunofabun
What is the name of the plan and when did you take it out?
You can check both of these through your My EE account.

Hi, the contract is called
EE 12mth Sim Only £15.99
and i took it out on 8/12/2014
thanks!

Thanks @Hunofbun
There are no maximum speeds set on those plans. 🙂
Your SIM will pick up the fastest available 4G.
You can check general coverage on our coverage checker and check what speed you're getting by following @Schockwave's advice.
Thanks
Chris

Thank you!
Do next question, if I'm now thinking of switching to an iPhone contract that had data speed of 60 Mbps will it be a slower response on my phone??!

Hi @Hunofbun
What is your current speed at the moment when running a speed test?
60mbps is a very high speed so you shouldn't experience any slowdown.
Many thanks,
Lee

On the speed checker it says 0.94 download & 0.11 upload. So does that mean it's gonna be slower if I switch to a 6mbps contract? Do I need the max speed one?! Oh I'm so confused!!

Hi @Hunofbun
If you getting them types of speeds, you would not need to worry about the new plan.
Many thanks,
Lee

I would be investigating why your speeds are that slow though.
Those speeds are very slow for 3G let alone 4G

Realised I was in the room with weakest signal! Did it again & its 2.44 download & 0.61 upload. Is that still poor?!

It is also a good idea to do the test outside, as it also depends on the type of buiding as well as the surrounding area.
One of these options may help you find the answers you need.
