Contacted Orange Broadband helpdesk & wanted to cancel my broadband as I've moved & there is already internet here.
I paid for the broadband only at my old address and the BT line was already paid for.
Spoke to advisor and she THREATENED me with a charge of £29 for just disconnecting the line. What a joke. I've never had issues previously and I've been a long term customer. There's no way I can move it across.
Feel like I've been conned

Are you in contract? There is ussually a 12 month contract. But you need to give 30 days notice so basically you will have 1 bill left to pay once you say you need to cancel.

Seems like it's better to pay it than leave the amount outstanding and wreck your credit record.

tehy are only allowed to charge u what they loose out on not full month linerentals speak to cisas

i dont pay the full month i wait until they send me an actual bill like getting blood from a stone getting a refund from ee
