My friend is in Prague and cannot send SMS messages. She gets "Error 10" if she tries
I have already talked her through switching off and on again, checking she is not in airplane mode etc.
Can anyone help? She could not get on to this forum via her phone at the moment

Hi @Mikesoft and welcome to the community.
So I can try and help, please can I get you to ask your friend to perform a manual network search and choose a network other than what they are on.
iPhone: Go to Settings > Carrier and turn off Automatic. Wait until available networks appear, which might take two minutes. Tap the carrier that you want.
Android: Open the Settings menu >Tap More > Mobile Networks > Carrier and turn off Automatic. Wait until available networks appear, which might take two minutes. Tap the carrier that you want
Please, also can I get them to try and dial a friend or family member using the format of 00447********* and try using data.

Her data is working fine, just not calls or texting. Doesn;t that mean she must already be connected to a carrier?

OK. My friend has tried all the networks available manually, - O2, Vodatfone and T Mobile, and she cannot text or phone on any of them

Ps: she said she asked about using it abroad and the people in the EE shop just said she could use it and didn't have to do anything.

This sounds like the international call bar could be active on her account.
I recommend logging into her My EE account on the phone's browser (not the app) or a computer.
Once logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.
If she can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.
