After 1hrs and 3 phone calls to EE a second line technical person announces EE 4G service does not work with Amazon Fire TV due to being an IPV6 service! This is really poor of EE to give up on a customer, saying it just won’t work... they must know why... I’ve contacted Amazon I await any support they can give EE doesn’t care.

Can't you switch the router to a IPv4 profile?

I have a solution:- This setting will allow connection to Amazon Fire which is IPV4 only.
in the router settings, select data type then select IPv4 then you will be asked to disconnect, say yes, save as IPV4 then re-connect and exit router.
I use both IpV4/6 setting after selecting IPV6, disconnect, save then select IPV4/6 and save, reconnect.
I now have both IPV4 and IPV6 depending on the website visited.
Confirmed by checking on this link:- http://test-ipv6.com/index.html.en_US
my status is:-
