Data gifting not working

Keep receiving error when trying to gift data. 

. Both sims are on my account. 

. They're not on a shared plan.

. They have more than the minimum 500mb of data remaining. 

. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. 

. 1 sim is from an iPad and the other a phone. 

Please advice on how I can rectify this. Thanks

What error are you getting?

 

Are you data gifting from the iPad or phone?

 

Also, are they both on contract with us?

Hi Leanne, 

 

They are both on contract with EE. 

 

I'm trying to gift from the ipad to the phone. 

 

Unfortunately it won't let me take a screen shot of the error but it says "somethings gone wrong. It's our fault. We're trying to fix it. Please try again. Error code 1f79e"

Is the iPad set as a bill payer or account holder?

I'm not to sure, how can I check? 

 

I had my phone first then added the ipad as an additional line.

Hi @AndyRead

 

If you can follow the below steps in your My EE account.

 

  • In My EE, select the iPad.
  • Select the link which shows Manage this device
  • Select the tab Device usage controls.

 

If you can change this to main user.

As you can see from the screen shot there was no option to change the device to main user.

Hi Leanne 

I have four phones on my account;

Mine iPhone X Pay Monthly contract

Wifes iPhone 7 Sim only Pay Monthly contract

Sons iPhone 6 Pay Monthly contract

Daughters iPhone 6 Pay as you Go

 

All phones show on my account no problem at all, however when I try and gift some data to my wife, her name and my daughters don’t show up on the gift data screen. Another words I am only able to transfer data to my sons phone. 

 

Please advise???????
