My pay monthly contract EE is ready for an upgrade, however I have seen a better deal with EE that is not available through upgrade. Am I able to cancel my existing contact and sign up for a new one via a different website?

@Cbrowne24 Yes you can and you will have to pay off the remaining term of your contract. You’ll also not be able to keep your number unless you move it to another network on payg and then move is back to your new account.

My contract ended on the 16th of December and I've just recently payed my bill for this month.. what do you mean by paying off the remaining term of my contract?

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community today.
As your contract expired on the 16th December 2017, you wont need to pay an early termination fee.
You will need to contact EE upgrades and retentions on 150 from your EE phone to cancel your account.
