Can I add the Apple Watch to my EE contract and set it up on another network (3)

Can I add the Apple Watch to my phone deal, I'm on EE but the Apple Watch is for my son who's with the network company 3, would you be able to set it up on any network or only EE?

The Apple watch is only available as an add to plan at the time of new contract or upgrade to an iPhone.
