I'll be traveling to the UK this summer, and I would like to purchase an EE SIM and Data Pack in advance. At the shopping site, I don't see an option to have the SIM shipped to my United States address or even to a friend's address in London (because it says the billing and shipping address need to be the same).
I can certainly just ask my friend to buy me a SIM or buy it when I get there, but I'd prefer to have this settled in advance so I can hit the ground running, so to speak. Anyone have any idea if this is possible?

You can't pay with a US bank card anyway. You need a UK bank card with a UK addy. So it looks like your friend.

You need a UK card and address to purchase pre-paid service? I thought another option was to just buy a SIM at the airport or at an EE store once I arrived?

Yes, you can do that if you like.
