Perhaps you could look in the Android forum as there are many threads on different devices concerning updates.

You may want to hold off:
A 10% battery life reduction for Android 7? I wouldn't take that! Maybe worth wating for Samsung to cook up a better build.

Its not personal but its a shame that EE representatives aren't sure if an EE update rolled out by EE has been released by EE.
Can we have some clear concise and informative information from our carrier. I feel we deserve it, if not why not?
We're all aware the slow update policy has been an issue for years and the forum and social media teams are as disgruntled as we are that it is not being addressed.

O2 and 3 have now released Android version 7 to their Galaxy S7s. As have most other European carriers. EXCEPT EE.
Why do we get such a slow update service? Why are we never told anything?

There is a lot of information and why EE chose to delay the updates and cause you this issue on the forums
Sit down with a brew and have a read of the threads below but in short EE have a policy which causes these delays and your frustration. They will not be transparent about it will not clarify the issue and will make no effort to change it in the face of your personal (data) security
