5GHz band SSID does not show up in the WiFi networks lists of any devices. I tried restart router, reset to factory settings but no luck.

Never had a problem with bt router.

Then devices are 2.4 GHz band only.

Hi,
Is it activated on the router under the settings?
Are you close enough to the router?
Thanks,

Hi @alius,
Welcome to the EE Community.
What type of devices are you trying to connect?
Have you checked they are 5GHz compatible?
Is it a Bright Box 2 router?
Thanks
James

Do the router's 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz bands have distinct SSIDs? By default Brightbox 5 GHz SSiDs are prefix by "5GHz-" . I've heard that BT HHs use the same SSID for both bands & some devices have trouble with that.

I notice 1 discrepancy:
My 5 GHz Mode is also A+N+AC but Above & Bandwidth are greyed out & I can't get them to show.

Update: this morning my phone found 5GHz singal, but unfortunately it's gone again after few minutes. I think router is faulty it self.

Sounds likely. Phone CS & ask for a replacement, cuz it don't work on 5 GHz band.
One of these options may help you find the answers you need.
