I have an iphone 6s. At the end of my contract i switched to SIM only and put my SIM in a new phone hoping to sell my iphone. I have signed out of apple stuff and done a factory reset but now I realise that my phone was locked. How do I unlock it? I cant turn it on or find my IMEI via iTunes without completely setting up the phone again.
Does EE still have a record of my IMEI so they can unlock the phone?

If the device had been on your contract for at least 6 months, even if that contract has now been cancelled, you can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it originally came with. It will first show your current phone on that number, if any, & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone. You will need to supply the IMEI.
