Have you cancelled your subscription with Apple?

 

The EE version with six months free will only kick in when that ends.

 

You can however take advantage of the free streaming by texting STREAM to 150

Hi. Recent upgrade so want to take up offer of 6 months Apple music. Have followed all the text steps and downloaded the App today. When I sign in to my account, Apple are offering 3 months free but see no reference to 6 months from WE.

 

What am I missing?

Well, I have a galaxy S8+ which I brought unlocked brand new (direct from Samsung) and then used my EE sim card in.

 

Although I now "have the offer", the app store says my device is not compatible - I therefore cannot use the service 

 

Any help ?

Hi there, I spoke to someone from ee today and the sim number does not need to refreshed, but she did refresh the account and am still not getting 6 months free only 3 month's with apple so I will just give up. And lose out on this

I have signed up to this, texting MUSIC to 150. It says 'six free months of apple music with data to stream on us' so why is this Apple music taking up all my data? I get 10GB of data a month and have already had to add on 2 lots of 1GB

Can you tell me why apple music is taking all my data? It said 'six free months of apple music, with data to stream on us'. So far ive used up all my 10GB monthly allowance and nearly 2GB which I have had to add on

Yes definately, It has used 489MB from 1-31 July & 216MB from 1-3 August. Have looked in data usage

Yes, I have the latest version of the play store (version 8.3.73R-all)

 

My phone is not rooted in any way ... the phone was brought brand new from Samsung. All I have done is use my EE Sim card in it and follow the links supplied in the text that EE have sent.

 

The link said "your device is not compatible".

 

However, even though it says I can't, I have managed to download the app. I'm up and running now.

when i text MUSIC to 150 again it tells me i already have a subscscription and haven't set up the service and gives me a link, i click the link and it tells me i do not have a subscription with EE

Hi,

I'm an existing Apple Music customer but signed up by texting STREAM to 150 to get the free 6 months of Apple Music however I have had a bill through from Apple today charging me for Apple Music. Was I supposed to cancel my subscription for the free Apple Music on EE to kick in? Any info is appreciated.

You do need to cancel your subscription directly with Apple.

 

Here is how you do it, from our Apple Music - Setting up help and support pages.

 

We'll remind you to cancel your existing Apple Music membership while you're setting up your Apple Music Membership from EE. This means you won't pay for the service twice.

 

Here are the steps to follow - on iPhone and on Android devices.

 

Cancelling on iPhone

 

Step 1. You'll be notified you have an existing Apple Music membership direct with Apple. Tap OK.

 

Step 2. From the Apple Music home screen Tapthe Apple Music account icon - on the top left corner of the screen.

 

Step 3. You'll see your Apple Music account page and Tap 'View Apple ID' from the menu.

 

Step 4. You'll then see your Apple Music account page. Tap 'Manage' from the Subscription menu.

 

Step 5. On your Apple Music membership account page, switch the 'Automatic Renewal' toggle to OFF.

 

Cancelling on Android

 

Step 1. You'll be notified you have an existing Apple Music membership direct with Apple. Select 'OK'.

 

Step 2. Tap the Navigation menu and then from the Apple Music membership account screen, Tap the arrow to the right of your name.

 

Step 3. You'll then see your Apple Music account page. Tap 'Manage Membership' from the menu.

 

Step 4. On your Apple Music account page, choose 'Manage' from the Subscription menu.

 

Step 5. Swipe left to switch ‘Automatic Renewal’ off.

 

Please note the day your subscription with Apple ends.

 

One day later then text MUSIC to 150 and you will then follow the EE process to get the six months free with us.

 

Also, you can have the six months free streaming now, by texting STREAM to 150.

 

Or

 

You can wait until you can register for EE and run the six months simultaneously with your Apple music with EE.
